I have no issues with Git so far. I just uninstalled the latest release
of Git for Windows (1.8.4) to try out an older version (1.8.0). Same
exact thing. Patch.exe crashes. Arg. So frustrating. 2 weeks working on
this! I wish I had a garden gnome nearby I could break in half.
A clean windows system :S That's quite a costly procedure for
potentially no gain. Isn't there anything else? I mean, as it looks now,
aren't I at least certain that the patch.exe file only relies on the
detected DLLS? I don't know too much about all of the ones it's linked
with but at first glance things look as if there isn't anything there
that should be there, or?
I'll try to post on the Git For Windows forum/Mailing list. Perhaps
someone else has experienced similar issues?
