USB key troubles

Well I see that nobody has an idea far from here... :/

I forgot to mention that the biggest problem is that I didn't find any
good and complete documentation about setting up hotplug + udev + dbus +
hal. The hal doc on freedesktop.org seems not up-to-date since it still
mentions that old /usr/libexec/hal.dev
Maybe can someone give me one or two good links ?
