can't suspend twice in a row

Hi,
I got a strange problem with HAL. It regards suspend and hibernate. The
first run goes fine. After that if I hit the suspend button again nothing
happens but gnome-power-management crashes. If I log out from X, the system
magically suspend.

Again If I kill and restart HAL after a first suspend, everything works
fine.

The same happens if I try to suspend or hibernate from gdm.

I've followed the steps from here:
http://freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/HalTraces. So I include the requested
output.

This issue regards an Asus A8JS laptop.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 with the HAL version 5.9.1. udev version is 108 and
I'm using the standard kernel 2.6.20-15 shipped with Feisty. To support my
laptop I've compiled and installed the module acpi4asus version 0.41.

It's an annoying bug, so I'll be very grateful if you fix it! :)
