dell inspiron 1501

i have dell inspiron 1501 on gentoo linux
hal - 0.5.11
hal-info 20080508
and my fn+up fn+down (brightness up brightness down) does not work, and
buttons does not recognized. Some times age this buttons are recognized
normal, whats happening?
