This is a bit of a follow-up to my message explaining how I got things
working in Ubuntu 9.10:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libdlo/2010-February/000585.html

10.04 works pretty similarly. I've attached a patch which I apply
against displaylink.c before compiling. This includes disabling RandR as
suggested in my last message, and removal of a few lines of code which
prevent version 0.3 of the xf86-video-displaylink code from compiling
under Lucid (there's a new version of xserver-xorg-dev in Lucid which
removes a couple of header files).

As mentioned in my last email, I'm pretty new to all this. I have no
idea whether the lines I've removed were of any importance. I removed
them, compiled, and things continue to Work For Me. If anyone with a bit
more knowledge in this area wants to comment, by all means feel free :)
