You might have a look at buses : 
- flixbus
- blablacar bus
they are both on https://www.thetrainline.com/ if you want to compare.

Notice that there might be some departure from airport to Rennes.

but can be a bit longer.

If you like carpooling, you can use some french service like Blablacar
(https://www.blablacar.com/ or mobile app) , and find a car for a nice
trip on french highway.
