i think 3.6 was buildable only with Visual Studio 2008, so you need to
install that to bisect between 3.6 and 4.0.

but it should be bisectable... in the 3.4 and early 3.5 days successful
Windows builds only happened every other week or so, in 3.6 days it was
already much better.
