My opinion about fonts-as-extensions is expressed in bug 91886 comment 6
( https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91886#c6 ). I
suppose that redistributing fonts in simply not OK, because font
redistribution is a business of respective font foundries. An extension
should IMO primarily contain the author of extension's work. Fonts
re-distributed as LO extensions not only do not fit into this idea, but
also will install fonts to OS (at least on Windows), and then users will
be able to remove the fonts from system, and have the extension "broken"
- ton the end of life, but another inconsistent state.
Fonts (and their redistribution in *any* kind) are not what TDF should
invest into, IMO. At most, have some wiki pages with (personalized;
necessarily opinionated) recommendations.
