[Mesa-users] 3D stereoscopic on intel driver

Hi,

I have a system based on a intel i7 (sandy bridge) with an HDMI output.
Do you know whether the intel driver support 3D stereoscopic output over
HDMI. In particular, does it support 3D frame packing and Side-by-Side
on HDMI?

Maybe my question in naive. To know more about the context: I am writing
an application based on OpenGL (using GL_STEREO) and I would like to
output the 3D stereo on a HDMI1.4a compliant monitor. Is it possible to
use mesa on top of Intel DRI driver to achieve this?

I have seen this related email about to propose the support in the drm
driver:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/intel-gfx/2012-September/020457.html
But as far as I understood it did not get pulled.

Also an older post concerning its support in mesa:
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2011-January/004827.html
But it seems it did not go further.

Do you know if it is possible to use OpenGL QB stereo on mesa and output
3D frame packed format on HDMI with the Intel driver?

Any pointer (concerning the current usability or what need to be
implemented) is welcome.

Thanks,

Nicolas Bourdaud
