Not exactly the answer that I was hoping for, but I suppose you're right
about divx encoding taking the most processing time. The cpu % I gain using
xine with h/w encoding vs. xine w/o h/w encoding is 20%. So using h/w mpeg2
decoding with mencoder would only speed it up by 20%. Thus... from 7 fps to
say 8.5 fps.
