You will not get 3D accel with the regular FC4 xorg, iirc. You need a 
more recent mesa.

I don't want to push you to do something you don't want to, but you 
should follow Ivor advice. http://washington.kelkoo.net/epia has all 
that you want. The whole install only involves adding a yum repo to your 
conf and a simple yum update :-) ah no sorry, also yum install 
kernel-modules-via-drm-`uname -r`, but this is not mandatory as you 
already have a proper drm installed.
