Hi,

This is my first message to this list, thanks for any help!

I trying to compile this project: http://sourceforge.net/projects/viaexp.
But I got the folling error after ./VeXP-install.sh:

[1] Install the VeXP-v4.2 packages
I select option 1
.....
checking for libddmpeg.so location... not found in /usr/lib
****************************************************************
* you don't have a libddmpeg.so on your system          *
****************************************************************
......
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lddmpeg
.....
*** Error: Fail to compile.
Please ensure the UniChrome Pro VGA driver has been installed.
Or, visit the http://sourceforge.net/projects/viaexp for more help.
tmartins at ubuntu:~/VeXP-VIAXine-4.2$

After that, I got the openchrome driver installed OK from svn:
svn co http://svn.openchrome.org/svn/trunk openchrome

But I can't see any libddmpeg... and the problem persist.

I need the drivers from VIAARENA to compile VeXP?
Are xine patched with VeXP only compatible with VIA proprietary drivers?

Howto use MPEG2 accel of Unichrome chip?
With opensource player support this MPEG2 accelaration?!
I need other player like Mplayer or MythTV?!

Thanks,
Thiago
