[Openchrome-users] has anyone 3D working on CN700 or VM800 or P4M800Pro ?

That's right, disabling MESA is done by defining the environment
variable LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT. In opensuse this is done through the
following scripts:

/etc/profile.d/via.sh
/etc/profile.d/via.csh

For experimenting with the hardware acceleration you can simple delete
this variable from a shell with:

export -n LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT

From this shell you can now run the 3D apps with hardware acceleration.
Note that hardware acceleration is only enabled in the active shell
window, not on system level.
Great way to see the effect on for example glxgears. This is far from a
good check but it gives some nice numbers and the illusion of having a
3D high performance machine :-) .

Christiaan.
