Unfortunately our driver only supports VBE modes with your chipset. If
you specify your own modeline and it doesn't match a VBE mode you will
get the error you specified above. I see that VBE reports you have 3
modes for 1600x1200, 120-122-124.
Instead of creating your own custom modeline I would suggest just
setting your default resolution to be 1600x1200, and limiting the upper
limit for the VertRefresh setting of your Monitor to 56.0 in
xorg.conf.
I can't guarantee it will work, but it is worth a shot.
