Unfortunately, I have not been updating the patch. In the past, I had
made some minor updates but more significant changes to MPlayer and
FFmpeg made attempts to keep the patch up-to-date somewhat futile.
Instead, I decided to include two versions of MPlayer in MiniMyth: one
with XvMC-VLD support and one with the latest MPlayer and FFmpeg updates.
With FFmpeg's addition of a hardware acceleration framework, a rework of
XvMC-VLD support so that is fits in the FFmpeg's hardware acceleration
framework would be the best approach. However, as the desire for HDTV
support has caused me to move from VIA graphics to NVIDIA graphics, I
have not been very motivated to figure out how to add XvMC-VLD support
using FFmpeg's hardware acceleration framework.
