I complete overlooked this. Thanks for the advice. I will make the
suggested changes.

I've tested against
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce GTX 660 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.3.0 NVIDIA 319.32
I should probably upgrade. :-[
All tests except 14/15: output-size-mismatch.tesc pass. I think that is
the fault of nvidia's shader validation.
