We should avoid Non-Profit Proliferation - it's perhaps more dangerous
than licence proliferation, and just behind nuclear proliferation in the
scale of "proliferations to avoid".

A non-profit is lots of work. Getting tax-free status is a lot of work.
So what collaboration is enhanced by the existence of a FreeDesktop
foundation? I can't think of any.
