All output modules for Unix kernel APIs work like that. The ALSA, the
OSS and the Solaris driver too.

If you work on Linux and you are working on a kernel audio driver then
the best solution is to simply make it a proper ALSA driver. That
would free you from writing a special PA module for that.

There a couple of pages in the wiki that explain how to write PA
plugins. Take them with a grain of salt however, since they tend to be
out of date. Otherwise: read the sources! If you have questions ask
them on the ML or on #pulseaudio on freenode.

Nice. Maybe you shouldn't post anything to a public mailing list with
nonsensical demands like this. I mean, come on, all our traffic is
archived in public mailing list archives.
