A bit of clarification on my question, hitting Send button too early ...

I would like to pipe Line-In data stream on Linux Box 2 to its Microphone input, so that I could use PyAudio to stream from there. Unfortunately I cannot do so because Linux Box 1 might not be accessible, only via its 3.5mm Output port.

Many thanks.

I used this : https://askubuntu.com/a/267347. Practically using module-loopback. This works all good.
