And support for IDE devices, volumes (integration with udev so you can
write a volume daemon in 60 lines of python), input devices, network
devices (with link detection) and more..

The stuff in CVS is working fine, but I'm currently shuffling around
some internals and polishing off the packaging stuff so I can release
0.2 before christmas. And update that boring spec :-)

So, this was just some shameless promotion of the HAL project, however
I'd wish people would rather stay on topic and discuss GStreamer and
it's inclusion on fd.o
